Cnidoscolus aconitifolius belonging to Euphorbiaceae family is widely used as a folk medicine among South American countries such Mexico and Brazil. The different bioactive compounds phenolic acids, Alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids etc. along with terpenoids unique structure are exclusive for this genus. has numerous nutraceutical benefits proven pharmacological studies anti-diabetic, hepatoprotective, anti-microbial recent upsurge consumer interest health promoting products opened up new vistas application in food product research development. Limited knowledge about underutilized plant representing an opportunity explore novel ingredient vast functional attributes.
